Terms of use
Coming soon: Tencil Cloud. Tencil Cloud, a hosted service at cloud.tencil.dev, is on its way. Before it opens we’ll add its terms to these terms of use, and what it processes to our privacy policy. Until then, both cover only tencil.dev and the Tencil software.
Who we are
Tencil is a trade name of Pixel Perfect (Pixel Perfect Agency B.V.), Watertoren 51a, 3247 CL Dirksland, the Netherlands, registered with the Dutch Chamber of Commerce under number 89660374, VAT number NL865059937B01. You can reach us at [email protected], or Pixel Perfect itself at [email protected].
By using tencil.dev or the Tencil software, you agree to these terms. If you don’t, please don’t use them.
The software
Tencil is open source. The software, its source code and its packages on npm are licensed to you under the license in its repository on GitHub. That license sets what you may do with the code, and where it and these terms differ, the license wins.
Your agent and your code
Tencil passes what you ask to the coding agent you chose, and that agent changes your code. AI agents make mistakes. You decide what to ask, and it’s up to you to review what your agent changed before you commit, ship or deploy it.
Your agent, such as T3 Code or Claude Code, and its model provider are not ours. Their own terms apply to how you use them, including what they cost.
The website
What’s on tencil.dev is there to inform you about Tencil. We may change it or take it down at any time. Don’t use the site in a way that harms it or its visitors, such as by trying to break in or overloading it.
The site links to websites of others, such as GitHub and npm. We’re not responsible for their content or how they work.
Our name and logo
The open-source license covers the code, not the Tencil name and logo, which belong to Pixel Perfect. You may use the name to say that your project uses Tencil or works with it, but not in a way that suggests we made or endorse something we didn’t. The design and text of tencil.dev are ours too: all rights reserved.
No warranty
The website and the software are provided as they are, without any warranty, as far as the law allows. We don’t promise that they are always available, free of errors, or fit for a particular purpose.
Liability
Tencil is free. As far as the law allows, we are not liable for any damage that comes from using the website or the software, including lost data, lost profits, and changes your agent made to your code. This doesn’t limit liability the law doesn’t allow us to limit, such as for damage we caused on purpose or through gross negligence.
Changes
We may change these terms. We then update this page and the date at the top. If you keep using tencil.dev or the software after a change, the new terms apply.
Applicable law
Dutch law applies to these terms. Disputes go to the competent court in the Netherlands, unless the law gives you, as a consumer, the right to go to a court where you live.
