Point at your UI, prompt Claude Code.

Tencil runs Claude Code on your machine, under your own login, and hands it the element you clicked. Every pin is a Claude Code session: follow up on the pin, or pick it up in a terminal.

npx tencil
  • Under your own login

The daemon runs Claude Code itself, through the Claude Agent SDK, in the root of your repository. It uses the Claude Code login you already have: no extra API key, no Tencil account.

  • terminal

    claude --resume <id>

    Every pin is a session

A pin is a Claude Code session, so you can reply from the browser or continue in a terminal where you left off.

  • You decide what it may run

Nobody is at a terminal to approve tool calls, so --runtime-mode decides up front. full-access (the default) lets Claude Code run anything; with the stricter modes, tools that need approval are refused and Claude Code is told why.

  • terminal

    npx tencil setup --provider claude-code

    Set up in one command

With only Claude Code installed, setup picks it by itself; with T3 Code too, it asks once. The first time, Tencil installs the Claude Agent SDK into its own config folder. Each project can switch agents from the gear on the toolbar.

Frequently asked questions

Using Tencil with Claude Code.

No. Tencil runs Claude Code under the login you already use for it.

Yes, with --model, such as --model claude-opus-5-5. Without one, Claude Code uses its own default.

That turn is lost: the pin turns red and you can follow up on it. The session itself stays in Claude Code.

More integrations

Tencil works the same everywhere: point at an element, say what should change.
